Impressions of the Northern California Coastal Landscapes
The Forest series renders the woodlands of the northern California coastal landscape with characteristics of pattern, density, light, canopy, and understory.
The Skyward paintings are abstractions of landscapes within Latitude 38 – the forests, hedgerows, and meadowlands of coastal northern California. The paintings direct our eyes upward to the patterns, variegated colors, and layers of vegetation against a shifting sky.
The White Barn, a restored iconic symbol of nineteenth century ranchlands, sits on a coastal terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean, in the shadow of a mature cypress hedgerow.
