Artichoke Design Company
My work includes planning and design for public and private institutions, corporations, and individuals. Projects range from new college and corporate campuses and headquarters buildings, to
buildings for science, recreation, or performances, to private lodges and residences.

My practice emphasizes creative vision that supports an institution's mission and its ability to achieve a sustainable future. We embrace community building, identity, and place. We develop priorities and methodologies for resource management, performance-based implementation, and measurable outcomes. Projects often involve working with complex neighborhood and environmental settings and multiple constituencies.

For more than fifty public and private institutions across the United States and in Asia, I've master planned campuses ranging from large, land grant institutions to small, private colleges. I've programmed and designed academic buildings, student residences, recreation and aquatic centers, laboratories, performance centers, classrooms and offices, campus centers, libraries, and learning resource centers.
